Differences between confession and admission

Confession: 1. It is a formal statement

2. The accused admits his guilt of a crime.

3.Proceedings are of criminal type.

4.It must be voluntary to be relevant


Admission: 1. An admission refers to the admission of a Fact.

2. It is of civil or criminal type.

3. It need not be voluntary to be relevant.

4.It can be made by any person while confession is made by the accused.
